Call me a hippy but...

...although i've been into this lark for a good ten or so years now i've never been one for the group ride, partly i suppose because i thought grown men hanging around outside swimming pools was a tad suspicious but more so probably because of my skateboarding upbringing, me and the wind man. Don't get me wrong i have partaken in the odd sportive where large numbers were present but mostly i was passing or being passed rather than riding within. Saturday's Renner Cafe Ride allowed me the joint pleasures of feeling the drag of riding in the wheels, eating one of the best date slices i've ever tasted courtesy of the cafe at Dawyck Botanic Gardens, enjoying the craic while traversing some interesting roads at a good pace but not one that had my eyeballs popping out and here comes the hippy bit, the sound man the sound of the wheels. Thank you Mr Anderson, more snaps here.
